Caddis Shack ("we," "us," or "our") operates caddisshack.com, a peer-to-peer marketplace for fly fishing gear. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information — name, email address, and profile details managed through Clerk, our authentication provider.
• Listing data — product descriptions, photos, prices, and inventory you submit as a seller.
• Transaction data — purchase history, shipping addresses, and order details necessary to fulfill your orders.
• Communications — messages exchanged between buyers and sellers through our messaging system.

We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration — used solely for platform security and performance.

• Process and fulfill orders, including generating shipping labels via EasyPost
• Release payments to sellers through Stripe Connect after order confirmation
• Send transactional emails (order updates, shipping notifications, receipts)
• Detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• Improve platform performance and fix bugs

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the platform. Each processes only the data necessary for their function:

• Clerk — authentication and identity management. Clerk stores your login credentials and profile metadata.
• Stripe — payment processing and seller payouts. Stripe handles all payment card data; we never store card numbers.
• EasyPost — shipping label generation and package tracking. Your shipping address is shared with EasyPost when a label is created.
• AWS — infrastructure (Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch). All data is stored in US-East regions.

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years afterward to comply with financial recordkeeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account at any time; certain transaction records may be retained to meet legal obligations.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your account
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-transactional email communications

We use session cookies required for authentication and platform functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from logging in.

Caddis Shack is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately and we will remove the account.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
